Adjunct Professor of Immigration Law Matthew I. Hirsch was the keynote speaker at an immigration reform forum hosted by Widener University. The program, “Immigration Reform: Past History, Recent Trends, Into the Future”, took place December 2nd in the Webb Room of the University Center building on the main campus of Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania.
Serving as keynote speaker, Mr. Hirsch provided an overview of American immigration history and an introduction to the current debate over immigration reform. The forum also featured a panel of immigration advocates and international students sharing their insights and perspectives on the immigration experience.
Co-hosted by Widener University’s Center for Social Work Education and the Pennsylvania Immigration and Citizens Coalition, the forum was held as part of the university’s international week. For additional information on legislative developments and immigration reform, please contact us.
