USCIS is raising it’s filing fees. Effective December 23, 2016, USCIS will implement increases to filing fees for a wide range of immigration benefits. Some of the increases are significant and will impact clients applying for both employment and family-based immigration cases.
Some of the increases with the greatest impact include:
• Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative – $535, up $125 …
• Form I-129, Petition for Non- immigrant Worker – $460
• Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker – $700
and many more. . . .
According to the agency, the increases are necessary to pay for fraud detection and national security, customer service and case processing, funding for refugee and citizenship programs and support for technology upgrades.
