The Law Office of Matthew I. Hirsch is pleased to announce that Matthew I. Hirsch has been appointed as Chair of AILA’s national Business Immigration Response Team. The American Immigration Lawyer’s Association (AILA) is a national association of more than 15,000 attorneys and law professors who practice and teach immigration law.
Among its many services and activities, AILA’s committees engage in liaison, advocacy, issue development and work on conferences and education. The Business Immigration Response Team (BIRT) is a national committee comprised of leaders in business immigration law who work together to inform AILA’s members on business immigration topics, develop comments on proposed regulations, prepare policy memoranda and advisories and educate on the benefits of employment-based immigration.
After two years as a member of BIRT, Matthew Hirsch will serve one year as Chair of the Committee. Says Hirsch, “It is an honor to serve as Chair of the BIRT. Chairing the BIRT offers an opportunity to work alongside national leaders in business immigration law. Serving with this committee of esteemed advocates offers me a chance to share ideas at the leading edge of business immigration law and to stay abreast of developments in legislation, policy, politics and procedures that impact employers and applicants for employer-sponsored immigration status.”
In addition to keeping on top of important developments in the field, Chairing the BIRT means that the Law Office of Matthew I. Hirsch will be able to provide clients with up-to-date information and advice to help them navigate challenges in business immigration law.
